::TECHNOLOGY:: The TV!!!

Although we use many forms of technology in our lives, television is one of the first to spring to mind. Methods of transmitting images were developed in the 19th century, but it was not until the mid-1920s that a system similar to today's terrestrial television was born. Incredibly, however the first flat screens were already being explored by the 1930s. We have come a long way since then: we now have the remote control, colour, high-definition, on-demand services, satellite, cable and digital signals...

The applicatio

ns of television, whether broadcast or recorded are abundant: education, marketing, entert

ainment, shopping, propaganda, dissemination of information. And in the future it could ha

ve as yet unimagined uses: telemedicine, video calls, 3D, or we may even see the disappe

arance of traditional broadcast televisio in favour of streamed video.

In fact, in the future, the word 'television' may

become redundant, as new, unimagined technologies take its place.

  1. I think this article is very interesting because the television is a great advance in technology; which in addition to providing great entertainment, it's a very good source of information.
